MrBeast Apologizes for Resorts World Experience in Vegas

We recently reported on the MrBeast Experience at Resorts World Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas, with the YouTube sensation bringing a slice of his unique online personality to the Vegas casino scene.

It turns out that this 'experience' didn't exactly pan out, and many participants have reported being disappointed with both the gifts included in the package and the experience itself. Some are also seeking refunds for the approximate $1,000 cost of the weekend.

Let's take a closer look at what went down and what went wrong, according to those who were there. apologises

MrBeast and Las Vegas - it felt like a winning combination. And when I heard of the latest live experience from the 26-year-old content personality, it sounded like the Resorts World event might be an enjoyable experience for any MrBeast fans.

However, the good vibes quickly dissipated when it was revealed that MrBeast, real name Jimmy Donaldson, wouldn't be appearing at ResortsWorld on the experience weekend. Details on the experience itself also appeared thin, with no confirmation of any challenges or special live events, despite ResortsWorld promising an "immersive" experience for all participants.

Following the weekend, many attendees chose to remain in Las Vegas and vent their frustration at Resorts World CEO, Alex Dixon, this past Tuesday. Speaking to CBS affiliate, 8NewsNow, one guest expressed disappointment at the lack of activities. "It should have been like mini-games, meet and greets, photo ops, special drinks, and things,” Theresa Metta said. “Unfortunately, we didn’t get any of that.”1

Some guests also opted to remain in their hotel rooms for the majority of the weekend, after being told to wait for a surprise event which never transpired.

Many participants also complained about the so-called 'Mystery Bag' which each guest was provided. When the contents of these bags were examined, there was no sign of any 'exclusive merch", just a mix of MrBeast-branded goods, which, as one guest pointed out, were available at a discount on the YouTuber's online store.

Donaldson took to X to make his apologies, stating, "This definitely isn't the experience we hoped they'd deliver," seeming to put the blame (or at least some of it) on Resorts World themselves. He also advised that his team were reaching our to participants to offer a tour of his studio to make up for the disappointment.

Time will tell as to the full extent of the PR fallout from this episode but you can imagine it might be a while before Resorts World (or MrBeast for that matter) think about hosting a similar experience in future.
